The Mass Games is a gymnastics and artistic festival involving thousands of performers hosted in the 150,000 capacity May Day stadium, the largest in the world. The extravaganza unfolds an epic story of how the Arirang nation of Korea, a country of morning calm, put an end to the history of distress and rose as a dignified nation with the song ‘Arirang’. The backdrop of the performance is made up of 20,000 school children who hold coloured books which create an incredible mosaic accompanying each scene. The Arirang performance has been included in the Guinness Book of Records for being the largest event of its kind. This is the first time since 2013 that the games have been held. As well as the highlights of Pyongyang, a trip to Kaesong and the DMZ, the tour also includes an outing to the Pyongyang International Film Festival.

There are two choices with regards to your visa collection:

A: The easiest and recommended option is to collect the visa from our Beijing representative at the pre tour meeting in Beijing- please note we do not require your passport at any time, the visa is issued on separate paper and your passport is not marked in any way – the cost for this service is €50;

B: Alternatively you can arrange to collect your in-passport visa from the local DPRK Embassy in your home country (please contact us for more details on pricing and a list of DPRK diplomatic missions).

Pre-Tour Meeting

Prior to departure we will gather for a pre-tour meeting in Beijing. At the meeting you will be given your DPRK visas and a chance to ask any last minute questions you may have. Afterwards, a complimentary welcome meal is served, allowing you to get to know your fellow group members.

Mass Games

The Mass Games are famous all over the world for the sheer size and artistic merit of the performance. Typically involving over 100,000 performers, the show, cancelled since 2013, is making its first return in what promises to be a truly unmissable highlight of the 2018 calendar.
